Eczema (dermatitis) refers to inflammatory skin conditions characterized by itch, redness, and rash, with symptom severity varying by subtype and chronicity. Atopic dermatitis is the most common form and often begins in childhood. Clinical burden can range from localized lesions to widespread recurrent disease.
